As often as Applejack gets called “background pony” around here, it’s ironically Apple Bloom who’s secretly worried about being overshadowed by her friends.

Celestia took Twilight as a student because 1. She believes that Twilight needs guidance and 2. She’s scared of Twilight too.

Being constantly mistaken for Spitfire and being treated as the poor pony’s Spitfire even by those who can tell the difference have caused Blaze to struggle with resentment and self-esteem issues.

That’s demonstrably untrue. Sky Stinger barely even paid attention to her for half the episode and had no problem backtalking her, the equalized ponies were way more scared of Starlight, and the Pony of Shadows described her as “almost” as powerful as Star Swirl, whom he felt perfectly comfortable attacking.
 
Wanting to get rid of her because she’s nosy, sanctimonious, and overall insufferably annoying to deal with? That might be another matter.

Ponies being nudists in the modern day is because Celestia mandated it. She likes the view.

The only person who isn’t afraid of Twilight is Spike. Simply because he has to handle all of her bullshit from time to time. Though, she does handle his shit too so it’s a mutual relationship.

it’s also not necessarily shit-your-pants “she’s gonna kill us” fear either. some people are just terrified of the idea of her stalking them day and night until they relent and subscribe to her selfishly narrow concept of “friendship”.
 
i mean, she berated the griffons and their third-world impoverished nation for valuing money over friendship. last i checked, friendship doesn’t purchase food, medicine, or infrastructure. i strongly doubt she’s going to dip into celestia’s private swag room to help them buy such things either.
 
and if you don’t think that’s scary, imagine a jehovah’s witness who can teleport inside your house, carry you around with their mind, and won’t be deterred by hiding behind the couch or telling them you’re not interested.

With the exception of their Queen, Changelings cannot reproduce in their natural state. It doesn’t really bother them much, since they can produce Changeling offspring with most other races, and prefer to mate outside their species. (In bars across Equestria, ponies tell horror stories of one night stands gone terribly wrong.)

The griffon thing was Dash and Pinkie, though. (And in all fairness, if it’s reached the point where leaving someone to die once their pockets are empty is considered normal, your society can’t exactly take the moral high ground.)

Zebras don’t have any sort of natural special talent. No natural magic, no flying, no higher stronger, not faster, not smarter, not well organised, literally nothing. They are as mundane as can be. To supplement their lack of natural magic, they rely on concoctions and voodoo rituals, not because they are better at it, but because they have no alternatives. Since it takes a long time to learn and master and rely on oral traditions mostly, very few are ever taught, those who can perform such things hold a social status similar to unicorns there.

they’re under her thumb though. i mean, why else would they keep putting up with suelight glimmer’s shit if not for the fact that she’s twilight’s little pet project? if someone cast a “you are now my slave” spell on me i’d beat their ass once it was broken, let alone never trust them again.
 
and yeah, fair point on the save their life thing. still, it’s very much a first world problem. “you impoverished people care too much about money and need to be friendlier”.

Most griffons come to hate hippogriffs at some point in their lives, however brief.
 
Hippogriffs feel no kinship with them, but hold no animosity either.

If Mistmane were to go all out, she could fight STarswirl to a draw, but she always held back and allowed him to amass a reputation as the world’s greatest sorceror, since that title meant more to him than it ever would have to her.

They have rivalries, and in the streets, it’s common to see Griffon Voodoo and Hippogriff Sentinel (gang cars) giving chase

Maybe they’re just more forgiving than you? She fell back on old habits in a moment of panic and stupidity. It was bad, but they’ve forgiven Discord for worse. Hell, even the Crusaders are guilty of brainwashing, and it’s not like they’re in juvie.
 
I see people complaining that Sunset’s change of heart was too abrupt, but then the instant Starlight backslides she’s completely irredeemable forever. Damned if you do, damned if you don’t.
 
Anyhow, if you need a reason for them to keep Starlight around, feel free to assume she’s doing something illicit for them off-camera.
