This was actually a miscommunication. What Starlight didn’t like was the pretending-to-be-kidnapped part. She actually prefers to “pretend” she’s a captured criminal who needs to be punished. In particular, she gets off on being spanked.

The Sullivans are an ancient draconequus clan, not the most powerful in existence but certainly no pushovers. EqG!Discord’s appearance is based on the myth of Malice Sullivan, a particularly nasty fellow who was only overthrown 1500 years ago. For centuries, Discord would give Malice crap about being beaten by “a bunch of no-magic monkeys”. When Discord was petrified, Malice returned the favor: every year he’d visit Equestria just long enough to drop off a flock of recently fed pigeons. Then Discord got out. Now Malice is laying low at the Smooze’s place for… oh, the next few millennia or so.

I like this headcanon :D

Twilight nearly got banned from playing classical music with Octavia’s ensemble after playing arrangements of the Transcendental Etude No. 5 across all the instruments during the Canterlot Garden Party, which was an attempt to make up for her crazed dancing from last time.
 
To impress her former teacher, Starlight tried doing the same with her magic, but instead the instruments came alive, gained percussion and started playing Pogo Sticks, running around through the gardens, with Starlight chasing after them.

In one of their cutie-mark attempts, the CMC once accidentally summoned a water elemental.
 
They were actually trying to summon a fire elemental.

That was one of the few things they gave a second try to. The second time around, they ended summoning a pine sap elemental instead.

Golems are illegal due to using dark magic, and that’s why they aren’t used everywhere

Which in of itself would become illegal thanks to the “Institute”  
trying to monopolize golem production, claiming their gen3 golems  
are better than anything you got…  
Plus after they were popular enough, you would have all of the nut jobs  
from the “underground railroad” trying liberate all of the golems…  
Although that one golem Glory is pretty hot…

Holy shit, this is amazing.

While all ponies of Equestria have some sort of flexibility to them, Earth ponies being more durable - have it more apparent than other races. Going far beyond being able to move their body around a bit more, they can display extreme feats of pure elasticity and survive otherwise deadly situations. However, most cannot control this as it is more of a natural response to their surroundings (a classic example being for them to survive blunt forces or impacts) or pure emotional tension (angry or stress). In very rare and unexplained cases found only in a few earth ponies, this response can go haywire and seemingly occur before certain events.
 
 
And while this natural phenomena happens often to earth ponies, it also happens unintentionally in other races such as unicorns, pegasi, and more recently discovered- alicorns.
