Umm… I can see deleted comments.
 
I first noticed it here >>457926. I’m sure BP #D56E’s comment was marked as deleted earlier, but now I can see it.
 
I checked several “drama in the comments” images and in the past they used to be littered with red deletions, now there’s no deleted comments anywhere. Am I imagining this, or did the update break something?

ehh, tbh it’s just distracting. i know that it’s also meant to instill more sense of a community, but tbh i think derpibooru outside the forums should be mainly about the art, not the people commenting on it. and the avatars definitely need to be smaller. about 30% of their current size, i’d say.

Looks great. I suppose they are a little too big, though. Make ’em roughly half the size they are now, and maybe make the avatars smaller to match?

You install Adblock Plus, then right-click the image you want to block, and select “Block element”.
 
Make sure the only thing you’re blocking is the single URL of that image, or else you might end up blocking every single avatar.

The reload thing is really annoying. Now I have to push ‘back’ twice to get back to the index page :-/ Plus it’s slow loading in the first place.
 
There’s also a bug (?) right now that when you hit reply to a comment, second copy of that comment appears above it. But after you post and it reloads, the duplicate is gone.
 
Appearance wise, I agree make the avatars smaller and reduce the white space.

Well at the moment, I like the changes to the comments.

The image box is too huge, and the distance between the image and the text too. It kind of breaks the harmony in the image’s page.

I don’t think it’s that big. But I do think it looks a heck of a lot more squished together now that there’s more information in the same area.

Can you reduce the horizontal dimension of the comment box as well? I think it’s easier to read that way.
 
Also, the avatar doesn’t stay in the box, if the comment is just one line.
 

 
And what are those arrows on the right for? They only appear on people with badge, but when I tried clicking them, doesn’t seem like they do much other than moving the username slightly up or down.

I think that’s just a super small scrollbar that appeared by default.

I like the change, well probably because I got used to it.

Along with other small changes that have to be made (adjusting min-height, removing forums post info, etc.).

Looks much better now than before, though I still preferred the old format. I think it might be the change in background that’s striking me as “off”.
