Random suggestion: a “get hosting outside of the UK” fundraiser to escape its draconian “anti-loli” laws and whatever else they’re restricting. The site already hosts underage non-human imagery, so it shouldn’t be that much of a moral stretch to accept humanized underage imagery — provided that it’s legal in the relevant jurisdiction.

Seconding this, although I’m not sure if it’s actually feasible. Some of the admins live in the UK, so it might not matter where the servers are located.
 
In the mean time, Octabooru are quite happy to host lolicon, although their site doesn’t support SSL yet so be careful if browsing from inside the UK.

Server location is not an issue; the main server is located in France, and while the backups server is in the UK, that can be moved if ever necessary. What is an issue is that the site’s main developer and two of the other owners do live in the UK.
 
If someone’s willing to pay for their relocation (including new jobs), then go for it.

will the mobile site be separate (m.derpibooru.org) or its going to be the main site being responsive (@media)?

Heh. When the dropdowns were first introduced, that actually got in (by accident). I used to (and still do) override that link to point to /search?q=uploader:<username> because HEYHEY it gives the same results, except it’s better because sorting and stuff. It was quickly reverted within a couple of hours or so, though nobody even noticed it.  
I’ll ask Clover about it at some point.
 
On the subject of search improvements, some other things I’ve been running locally through scripts for a while now:

Absolutely yes on the searching-for thing.. It doesn’t make sense that something that you’re actively looking for would be spoilered, or even hidden. I’ve had that problem a few times, and it was bothersome to have to edit my settings and then re-edit them when I was done looking for something.
 
On the second, another yes. It’s not as big a deal, but it’s definitely something that’d be awesome to have.
 
 
Anyway, about what I brought up, does it matter if the site admins are in the UK? I thought the issue was where the content was actually stored?

Pretty please? I’m in favor for what you’re searching for being unspoilered.  
HOWEVER! I think it should be a toggleable option. As in, a checkmark in settings that shows search spoilered/filtered images in search. There are some things that I search for that would also bring up some pretty disgusting things that I don’t want to see.
 
I don’t really care too much about the search by score thing. with that one, whatever you feel best with.

Yes. Storage location doesn’t really matter. Except it does for its own reasons (ie, the server’s disks would contain illegal content in the country they existed in and would be subject to legal takedown/removal if we didn’t act to remove content). But as far as being responsible for the site goes… yeah, if you really want that content so bad (seriously, what the fuck anyway) then please cough up the half million quid plus or so it’d cost to relocate all of us and our families to countries with favorable extradition laws and set us up with new homes, jobs, and so on.

It was just an idle suggestion, and I didn’t realise it was that much trouble; no need to be aggressive. Thanks for the feedback anyway, and good luck with the site :)

I had the idea of being able to search for user upvotes, downvotes and favorites. To be able to use these in a search can be very useful, or filter these depending on different scenarios. I don’t know how easy it would be to add these dynamic tags…
 
Usages:  
• I’d like to automatically hide all images I’ve downvoted. Those are downvoted for a reason.  
• Hiding all downvotes, upvotes and favorites can be used to filter out images not seen by the user yet.  
• Boosting upvotes and favourites in searches, if the user likes to.
 
It could use keyboards such as user_upvote, user_downvote, and user_favorite, and of course not letting these being allowed as tags on images.
 
Would this be useful?

This argument about it being private seams arbitrary(?)… my messages are private as well, but I can use them on the server. My search is also made on the server, which has all my votes already; so why shouldn’t I be able to search for my votes?
 
No one else but me should be able to search for my votes and faves; users should only be able to search for their own votes/faves.

Other Danbooru-based sites have that sort of vote searching, and it’s awesome.. I, for one, would love to see that here. If we can search in faves, we should be able to search in what we liked/didn’t like, too. Seconding Liggliluff on all counts, even :V

Searching for faves can be done by using “faved_by:username here” plus any relevant tags. I believe Clover mentioned upvote searching would be a possibility, eventually.
 
Image hiding is only done with filters, not votes (see also this thread’s very first post).
 
Bit puzzled on why you’d want to search your downvotes if you want them hidden anyway.

I would like to hide all downvotes most of the time; but might want to search through my downvotes sometimes.
 
Well, they did say they won’t do per-image hiding in the first post (whatever than means…?). All I want is that voting is considered as tags as well. I can search for my up-/downvotes just like any tag, and spoiler/hide them as I want.
 
Well, I’m not going to continue if the decision is already made. Least some people saw the suggestion.

All of you who want to hide downvoted images, B.O.R.E.D. can do that for you. It also lets you do per-image hiding.
