That is not a use case that has been abused at such a level that cutting special code for it or implementing special tools has been justified.

Yeah, it’s not like we’ve had to implement a rule 4.1 “Don’t filter content you want to see”.

The basic conceit behind the insistence that negative opinions have exactly the same value and importance as positive opinions is just tedious as hell.

I am totally not going to bother with that, no; if you don’t already understand why positivity is inherently better than negativity then there is absolutely nothing I could say that is going to make it clear to you.

Image search (you upload image and get it here, if it was uploaded)  
Like “auto-report” thing, but search wider and offer certan images from site

I have grown so accustomed to using J/K navigation in forum pages that I often try to use it outsider Derpi, and then wonder why nothing happens. It is a wonderful little tool.
 
Would it be easy to add keyboard shortcuts to next/previous pages of image comments?

It’s also not the best reverse image search. But I’ve seen it work more often than not so… Worth tryin at least. Just don’t expect it to work too well on sketches/lineart.

Well, it’s not a high-priority feature.  
Found one of your posts about it.

Reverse search should work with link like ?url=imageUrl. So it can be used on other websites to easily search images here. Should work with API too.  
It shouldn’t refresh after searching and clear image and url fields.  
Webm search. If gif search is just a first frame then it can work the same way here.  
There should be at least a simple sentence explaining fuzziness effects on search results.

suggestion: I think it would be nice if your post gets removed for you to get a message for why.
 
it would also be nice if there was an appeals process.

I believe most deletions at least include the rule number, so there’s a general idea of why there was a deletion.
 
As for appeals: Usually one can come to the -help channel on the IRC to ask why something was removed.

but that is the thing, I am not getting any information on the deletion, I just notice that the image is not there anymore. I don’t get to see a rule number or anything.

Well in the case of images: If you know the image # or use your browser history, you should be able to return to it and see what the deletion reason was. Or ask in the -help channel.
 
In this instance: The image was deleted for Rule 5.

I didn’t see anything about this in the first post, so I hope I’m okay asking about it. Is there any way for a client-side script to determine what site theme the user is running? I checked the head and body tags in the console, but I didn’t see anything there. The only way I can figure out is to look in the head for the stylesheet link and check the URL, but that’s… less than optimal. I was writing a small userscript that needed to add its own settings, and used jQuery UI to make them look sorta decent-ish, but I want to match the jQuery UI theme to the user’s site theme. If we could get something like theme-light or theme-dark in the class for either html or body, that’d be really helpful.

Can there be policies preventing OP from doing the douchey bullshit move of ninja uploading pics by half-assing the tags then adding them later!? It is becoming a huge pain!

There’s a two minute window where images don’t appear on the front page, to allow for tagging. As long as the most important tags (artist, rating, characters, potential fetishes) are present inside this two minute window there is no issue.
