Well, yes, as far as I’m aware those are for cumulative donations, so I don’t know why patreon donations wouldn’t count. (Though I also don’t know how much any of those represent, so I have no idea when I’ll have accumulated enough to qualify for them. :Ta)

I already am a 1$ patreon for the Happy Derpy! I would like donating a few extra for those badges if $ is senseful… only reason I don’t donate for the special custom badge (would ask Fleetfoot) is because for that $ I can get a full commission xD

Patreon is the only way now. And you get those gems depending on how much you have donated.  
Also, you get a special badge after $100 cumulative.

Pretty much, and it’s $4 for the bronze. Emerald is gotten after $80 I believe.

I guess it’s not as necessary when the entirety of the site’s expenses and then some are covered with Patreon now, from the looks of things.

The bits are automatically awarded, but TSP has to give you the patreon badge first. Just to be certain perhaps PM him on patreon.

Do I just write on the community tab on patreon page? I don’t know how to PM individual users in Patreon, I don’t use it much… I could PM him here in derpi though whatever you find more fitting

Nothing is really automatically awarded, other than a very simple conversion of $# to gem. Going through the list takes about 3h.

No; custom badges are permanent, regardless of tier (or lack thereof) you may have later on.

Ahh ok.

Honestly with all the stupid changes they’re doing with patreon billing I may just go $20 once then stop to cover the rest of the year. :T Hopefully they backpedal on the fee adjustment thing.
