A Warning: Leaked MLP movie spoilers.

So, it seems like someone was able to get a high quality rip of the movie, and posted it to 4chan. They leaked several images and videos of the movie, and multiple users there where able to save it before the thread got purged.  
Because of this, I feel like they will come to this site to leak the movie, deliberately avoiding adding in the movie spoiler tags, so that users here will see them.
 
I think that it might be a good idea if the mods would put up a notice about it at the top of the site. To warn people about this, and to remind them to have the relevant tags spoiled on the lead up to the movie.
 
We already had someone posting a link to the movie, but they got deleted.
 
DO the mods think that adding a warning about this would be a good idea?

If you have a screen cap from a preview of the movie that you want to upload, and want to avoid the chance of it being seen as a Rule #1 violation, please provide a valid source for the preview. Screencaps that have valid sources (ex: a YouTube video released by Hasbro or LionsGate as an advertisement) will not be deleted.

Thank you. I do not want the movie to be spoiled for me before I have the chance to see it.

Also, how long will this banner stay up for?  
Until the movie is done showing in cinemas, or would that be too long?

Then will the screens from that leak be allowed after premiere in theaters? Or only after DVD or Netflix/something release?  
Btw, I don’t see a banner on the front page that people are talking about.

They probably took it down to try and keep as many people from finding out about the leak, if I had to guess

Right, they probably should do that. Even 4chan mods delete the links there, everyone are surprised about that.  
And Hasbro is probably really scurrying now, trying to constantly monitor most of the internet. I bet someone will not get much of sleep today.

Can we expect Equestria Daily to avoid reporting the leak and drawing attention to it?

I think they will not post that even if someone submits it. Still it will probably revealed in daily discussion threads where people are posting 10 posts per second sometimes, but I expect posts with that being taken down fast. Mods there will surely not getting good sleep today and tomorrow either.

Yep! I agree that it’s a wonderful idea. People should go see the movie or wait for it to go on DVD. The movie looks gorgeous and shouldn’t loose sales because someone decided to upload the entire movie.
 
Besides, I really want to wait until my birthday next week to see it.

Leaks have happened before, even to major films, some of which still managed to make a profit. How much a film is impacted hinges partly on anticipation. And because the average movie-goer seems to have no high expectations for this particular film, I have hope that the review embargo will help soften the blow. These people won’t actively seek out an entire film they feel they’d rather be caught dead watching without their kids.
 
We have yet to see a truly negative review for this, even from non-fans. Every published review I’ve read has given it a minimum of 4/5 or equivalent. If word of mouth continues to be this good, it should attract more people, encourage more theaters to add it, and at least make back its budget before the damage of the leak becomes visible.
 
My only concern is how this will effect fans who’d much rather stay at home than go out in public.
