The End wasn't The End - Found a new home after the great exodus of 2012

A quote from the TvTropes Pantheon of Magic:

“The first time Flandre Scarlet saw her, she commented: “Hey look, it’s pony Patchouli!” and demanded that Twilight “play”, much to the dismay of the unicorn, who knew full well who she was dealing with having earlier read “Perfect Memento in Strict Sense”. The general consensus is that for someone confronted to Flandre Scarlet Twilight did very well, erratically warping around Flandre and countering magic bolts with magic bolts, though a well-placed Laevattein blow did eventually leave her with burns and a scorched mane.”

… Ya know, the more I think about it:

Discord=Nue (Unidentified and Fantastic, in a sense)
Chrysalis=Futatsuiwa (Able to change forms at will)
Sombra=Hijiri, maybe? (Black magic) Or Kaku (Inherently evil, but that would be a fair argument for any of these three.)

And to round it all out:

Celestia=Yukari (Do I have to?)
Luna=Kaguya (Again, need I?)
Spike=Koakuma(…What?)
Cadence=… Yuyuko? Miko? Shikieki? I have no freaking clue! Who would she be?
Shining Armor=Again, I’m not too sure on this one. I want to say Youmu, but I feel like Hong fits just as well.

My only comments are;
The three farries appeared in 12.8, Great Fairy Wars.
I couldn’t care less for the manga.
I’m sticking to YuugiJack due to that very “lack of a good fit”. It’s the best one in my mind.

@Jumpitydude
The Crusaders MUST be the Three fairries from one of the official Manga.
-Scootalo > Sunny Milk: Whose know for being hyper and confident to the point of foolhardiness.
-Sweetie > Luna Child: Somewhat clumsily and odd while sometimes bordering on just dumb.
-Applebloom > Star Sapphire: The most rational and common sense driven, which admittedly with a fairy isn’t saying too much.

Hell they even all lived in a tree house (admittedly it was a Twilight style, hollowed out tree, but still!) There entire days appear to revolve around acquiring things they want and getting in the hair of people that could squash them like bugs if so inclined.

Yuugi is too much of a loose cannon to be Applejack if you ask me. She’s honest yeah, but she’s also a boozer who’ll get into fights just for the hell of it and is generally way too free spirited to fit.

I honestly can’t think of a really good fit for AJ, but I think Kasen Ibaraki, another manga character, is pretty good. She’s very upstanding and honest, but is sometimes seen as a bit of a pest because of that due to getting preachy to others. This is particularly the case Marisa whom she interacts with quite a bit which also fits nicely with the Dash/AJ rivalry and nagging.

… I don’t really know all that much about Alice, so knowing that about her, I can’t argue with her being Zecora. But what about AJ being Yuugi and Sweetie being Flandre? And how about the other crusaders? I get the feeling my comparisons are pretty awkward at best. (Scoots/Utsuho and AB/Koishi)
Tk3997

@Jumpitydude
Pinkie is pretty much always agreed to be Suika, and for good reason. (Come on, her “evil” plan during her first appearance was to stage a giant booze filled parties to try and lure out others like her because they can’t resist rowdy parties)

Alice… I can almost see the Fluttershy argument as the animals and such make fair stands for the dolls, and they’re both anti-social and prefer to hang about with their none human companions. Alice also isn’t mean per say, but she is very much a more classic sort of recluse. She’s not really afraid of people so much as disinterested in them, and she’s certainly is no mewling pushover.

I’d actually peg Alice as Zecora myself she lives deep in a dangerous wood, but clearly out of choice and not any sort of fear or lack of confidence. She’s known to occasionally enter town as Alice is want to do and is somewhat associated with children, while also having a bit of snark.

Rarity as Remi, Twilight as Patchy, and Dash as Marisa are spot on though. The fanon on them is shocking similar between the fandoms.

Fluttershy is not Alice.
Pinkie is not, I repeat, NOT Flandre!!
Depression due to losing friends is NOT the same as the insanity that Flandre is depicted with!
The closest to them, to me, would be either Rarity(Keen eyed jerk with a heart of gold) or Gilda(For being Dash’s friend) for Alice, and Sweetie Belle(Destructive younger sister to a high class mare) for Flandre.
…SweetieDash. That’s a bit disturbing.

Err, it’s a saying that originated from people being racist. Why would ponies be worried about race? The closest they have are zebras and griffons and such, and that has nothing to do with color. Being called black isn’t racist, just a statement. What would lead to color discrimination?

Man, I really was amazed at the similarities the first time I noticed it when I was comparing these two.

I wonder what other series also has purple haired magical bibliophilic librarians.

Marisa and Dash have been shipped with everyone and everything except, oddly enough, each other. Someone should do something about that.

@Jumpitydude
Nitpicking alert: the saying originated from the fact that both a pot and a kettle were heated over an open fire long ago, meaning that sooth would build up on the outside, making them both black. Race has nothing to do with it.

Yuugi-Jack: Are ya sure ya’ll are friends? She doesn’t seem to like ya much.

Marisa-Dash: Yeah, I’m her friend, ze! She lets me borrow her books all the time, ze!

Patchy-Sparkle: No, you steal them. You’ve never returned your “borrowed” books, Mukyuu. And stop using a nonsensical verbal tic, Mukyuu.

Marisa-Dash: Pot calling the kettle black, ze!… What led to that phrase, anyway?

… I don’t even remember why I started writing this. Also, for those curious, the other three are Satori-Shy, Pinkie-Ibuki, and Rarity Scarlet.

Also, that last line is referring to the fact that that phrase wouldn’t make sense to them, being orange, yellow, pink, blue, etc, etc.
