it was because is Star Swirls portals the sirens were sent to the human world, and one could argue his very portals are how the memory stone got to the human world. As to the other portals such as on the island, I am unsure if that was one of Star Swirls, or Midnights fault, or both
Actually…if Sunset hadn’t brought Equestrian magic via Twilight’s crown through the portal then the Dazzlings wouldn’t have sensed it and caused trouble at Canterlot High so technically that’s on her.
