On a completely separate note, but does it seems like Rainbow Dash’s hips are rather wide. Maybe it’s just the perspective, or maybe because the skirt is lower and bares more skin. But I look at the image of applejack posted here, and they’re relatively the same size based on their shoulder lengths, body size and so on. But then I look at their hips and Applejack’s are much smaller than Rainbow’s. Again, maybe it’s just the outfit, or some other elements, that’s giving it that look. I think I’m looking into this too much.

You haven’t made any apposing points to what I said XD You made a point, and then I replied to it with visual art references (which funny enough I thought I was doing you a favour by going to so much trouble to clear it up for you haha :P Like the dunce I am I genuinely thought you wanted to know! XD) and since then there’s been no counter points since, no arguments, or anything like that you seem to be sticking to it for no clear reason (to me anyway) and I’m both confused and amused since I’ve never been in this scenario before! XD

I’m not arguing I just find this really fascinating XD When faced with a evidenced point about proportions in reply to their point on the belly button position, they decide to stick with their point even if the evidence shows that their point is just simply wrong and the artists of the show didn’t make a mistake and the placement is correct to their style and continuity (and general human anatomy). The main kicker of it all is that the biggest bit of evidence is the very image they themselves posted below! It’s like they’re sticking to it simply because it’s ‘their argument’ instead of sticking to it because it’s the one that’s most logical which logically makes no sense :P

I drew out the EqG proportions and if you look at where the hips are (in comparison to the reference picture of Applejack from the 3rd film) and compare it to where Rainbow Dash’s T-shirt falls, the t-shirt would just cover her belly button.

The belly button would be under her shirt based on her hips. I find it a little odd that her waist is visible at all. Not that I really care, just outfit wise I think it looks odd in design. I think the explorer outfits in Dance Magic looked better aesthetically.

Maybe the shirt is covering the belly button, because the skirt does go kinda low. Too low for a kid’s show ;)
