Yeah, here I have to side with Rarity. This wasn’t meant to be a treasure hunt – that was a whim that popped into Rainbow’s head out of the blue, not something they agreed on – and she did just cause Rarity to both lose valuable resources and the time and effort she put into gathering those gems.

I’m glad I’m not the only one who noticed that gems don’t shatter.

Remember that scene in “Flushed Away” where he shattered the “Queen’s” gem to prove it was fake? That’s what this made me think of.
