“Three weeks”
It is certainly a good reason for someone like Discord to let free creatures be. The more he controls it, after all, the more he must realize that it’s too predictable under his manipulation. Only a creature with choice can truly do something surprising.
That is a pretty cool idea.
I’d actually like to see a situation like that presented in a fantasy novel or something. A god or nigh-omnipotent being who COULD destroy and remake the universe however it wanted, but lacks imagination. Since it savors and respects mortals’ creativity, it lets them exist unobstructed.
Like, the only reason it can summon the best friggin’ BLT in existence is because he/she knew the guy who made it.
Something similar happened in Adventure Time.
And now he can’t have any of that for two weeks.
