“When come teh yiff?”
When my internet connection goes down, or the internet itself actually goes down? ‘Cos I’m not sure the second one is entirely possible… xD
(and in the first case, I’d just go watch some of my 000s of DVDs…or some of my dozens of porn DVDs, I have a pre-internet way of thinking xD)
Internet goes down.
Eh, I just go back over to Rule34 when that happens. :P
would, but my laptop crashes even trying to use Paint
@Chapelseed
Have you tried Print Screen/pasting it to MS Paint? Tedious, but it may work.
Cool
I use IE for everything; but mostly for porn, Doctor Who, and MLP. (and porn of Doctor Who and MLP ;D)
No, I only use IE 11. I know a lot of people don’t like Internet Explorer, but I find it works well enough for me. :)
lol, I just did that now too.
But some times it can be a little time consuming, did you use firefox to get the text out or IE? I used firefox, took a while but got it out.
Yeah, I think saving the entire webpage may just leave the copy-protection code in place, but then you could just open the HTML file in Notepad and strip out the code at your leisure, which is what I always did anyways. :)
Likewise and yeah, I tried using IE this morning didn’t work, I think when you save the page the security comes attached with it, unless you copy the entire story straight off of the source page instead.
I might try that as a last resort, until then I might just print screen everything.
Tried those as well, nothing worked.
@Yet_One_More_Idiot
Oh ha-ha. I use Firefox
I thought about putting that as well.. but I thought it would have gone too far…
Huh, now that is weird. I just saved a random story by using Save As from my browser, it worked fine. Maybe their copy protection doesn’t work with IE? :P
This isn’t really the place to talk about it, but FFN’s copy protection uses the native Java class ‘nocopy’ and is easily circumvented with a simple script to remove that class on FFN pages. I personally use this Greasemonkey script, but some quick research (read: googling ‘make ff.net text selectable’) shows this Chrome extension to work just as well.
Tried it multiple times. never worked.
Waitaminute, why can’t you copy stories from FFN? …huh, they’ve disabled text selection, interesting.
What about just hitting File->Save As…and taking the entire page at a time?
