It’s heartening that there are still beautiful places so nearby in the world that are effectively far away and in the wild. And that one can find Flutterbats in the wild! ;)

Sorry, I didn’t see your comment until now. It is actually quite a bit south of there, but still in the Sierra mountains.
 
It is at Lake Virginia, off of the Pacific Crest Trail. It is pretty remote; it is at least 20, maybe 30 miles by trail from the nearest road. For most people (including myself) it would take at least a few days of hiking to get there; it took me about 3 days, but really fast hikers could get there in two days, or even one.
 
That’s why I wanted to get a tiny Flutterbat plush, lol. She’s so portable and I can take her anywhere with me very easily.
