I never thought of that.

Hmmm… I think deep down, maybe for something truly auspicious, like that Grand Galloping Gala, or say, her own wedding even Rainbow Dash may want to feel gorgeous and radiant, and I think by letting Rainbow be the bride, Rarity gave that to her. She could have worn it, but at least she can still marvel at the amazing dress… on her special somepony.

If anybody’s being petty, I think it’s you for apparently reading aggression into my post where there was none and also assuming I was just talking about myself. I was saying that’s likely the reason why some people don’t care about Raridash… people don’t have to dislike it, or think it makes no sense to not personally find value in it, they may just ship something else instead.
 
For the art not understand inverting tropes for humor has nothing to do with it, and I’m pretty sure I didn’t knock that. I just said this is really OOC. Which it is.

I even thought people shipped TwiDash before that ep, I thought it was one of those ships that got popular just from fanon stuff, but either way it’s not like some people even need that much fodder/reason to ship anything… look at Fluttermac for instance and how it was crazy popular for years even though they’d never even shared one frame of animation together. Some people just like and are able to pair characters based on personalities and how they think a ship would/could work, and not because they see reason from the actual show.
 
For Rarijack, I honestly don’t know anymore if some person/people over there do ship it or if they just like teasing people, but either way yeah at this point I’d agree it has to be intentional because there’s just so much of it. In the show, comics and everywhere else.

I like the reversal from what you’d expect in a picture shipping Rarity with a less feminine character with her in the Suit and Dash in the Dress, that’s cute.

I don’t even particularly ship RariDash, but if a couple of scenes in Read it and Weep was enough to make TwiDash “have enough basis and ship fodder” to become the most popular ship in the fandom for a few years even though it got practically no other fuel and minimal interaction before or after until Season 4. Or AppleDash remaining as popular as it has over the years despite their being very minimal interaction between the two in any season but 1. Then Rarity Investigates is enough for RariDash, hell there was a lot more interaction between Rarity and Dash in Investigates than between Twilight and Dash in Read it and Weep.

Well Rarijack is kind of a different deal, the only dynamic that gets close to as much time is Fluttershy and Rainbow Dash. And im pretty sure some of the crew actually WANT To do it, especially when they have teases like that sign in Made in Manehattan.

They could also ship something like Rarijack instead, which easily has ten times the amount of canon fodder to back it up. People don’t have to hate Raridash or consider it totally baseless to not like/care about/support it, or not do that in favor of some other pairing(s) for the characters.
 
As for this pic itself the art style’s cute, but putting the most fabulously feminine dress-obsessed pony there is inexplicably in a tux along with allowing her guests to commit the massive fashion faux pax of wearing recycled bridesmaid dresses at her wedding makes me think this artist doesn’t understand these characters very well at all.

I mean they’ve displayed perfectly fine dynamic and chemistry (as the focus of an episode) to where it can no longer be argued it couldn’t ever work, other than being a stick in the mud about shipping altogether.

Hondo seems to be more interested with the wedding cake than the wedding itself.

After “rarity investigates” anyone who’s ever bitched about raridash has absolutely no leg left to stand, on other than just not being a fan of shipping. Period.

I’m a little surprised to see Rarity is the one in the tux, but she makes it look good.
