This part of the episode was easily THE best part of it, hands down. It was extremely heartwarming. I also didn’t expect Big Mac to speak this much in the episode.
I wish I could have focused more on how touching this moment was but my brain was too busy trying to tie that voice with big mac. It just didn’t seem right.
And so we find out that Big Macintosh lives in the shadow of his sister and that he feels under-appreciated for all the hard work he does. He also seems to be convinced that ponies don’t really care about him or his feelings. This may actually be the reason he doesn’t talk very much – perhaps he feels that no one will listen.
Character development acquired. Good job, writers. Very good job.
This episode was fantastic. Funny. Cute. Interesting. And, very touching. I’ve wanted a Big Mac focused episode for a long time. And, this definitely delivered.
It would be nice if the writers could actually give AJ herself heartfelt moments like this instead of making it all implied while actually doing almost nothing with her in the show.
