She somewhat got over it, in so far as she could coax herself to go out and be with her friends, but she doesn’t like to scare them, and that’s the only way she’s able to participate being so easily startled and paranoid, so she intends to continue not to.

I enjoyed the ep’, but I kinda agree it had some rather mixed morals.
 
In fact, I kinda feel that way about the new episode’s ending/moral frankly… It didn’t sit well with me.
 
(I’ll just copy & paste my opinion on it, if anyone is curious.)  
I liked the ep’, but I kinda disliked how in the ending ||Fluttershy despite losing her fear of said night, still decides not to participate in said holiday, and spend time with her friends like she normally would.  
I guess they were trying to go for a more P.C. “you should chose whether or not to participate in a holiday” or “spend it doing whatever you want, and your friends should respect that” moral, but I don’t know… || It just felt kinda off to me. There’s something I didn’t like about that whole ending.

Umm….Well….Okay, I can’t defend Bats as those are all true to an extent.  
However, i still enjoyed it. Eh, I’m weird like that.  
Though, perhaps I forgot we were talking about Bats and moreso this episode…But yeah, I can understand well enough why people don’t like it.

Plus, I just plain don’t like bat ponies.

It has:  
-Shy putting animals’ needs over ponies’  
-Her romanticizing brutish and hurtful animal nature  
-Having her argument being portrayed as in the right over her friend  
-whom also loses more than Shy gained in the entire thing  
-Was turned into a monster (by somewhat contrived magic) so she could get her way  
-Shames the party that had the sensible attitude because it was against shy, whose solution would make things worse on every logical level but was portrayed as right because who gives a shit  
-And it gave Shy yet another ’monster inside’ gimmick that almost lazy when it happened last, and is not what she needs more of

Beating a dead joke? She appeared prominantly in one episode and then only for a few seconds in another. This is her third appearance, which is in a Halloween episode. Perfect spot to have her.
