Being “special” implies you’re different from the rest. That’s why superheroes are special–they’re the only ones with superpowers. But if everyone had superpowers, then there’d be no difference, and nothing special about it.

Point is, the logic to present the idea still doesn’t work.

Say you have an infinite number of variables, A, B, C… and so on, forever, using various symbols and whathaveyou after the alphabet ends.
 
If all of those variables equalled 1…  
Then all of the variables equal 1. They don’t all suddenly become “Not 1” just because “all of them are the same”.
 
 
Besides, saying “everyone’s a Super/special” is like saying “everyone likes icecream.” Okay, sure, say for an instant that everyone did like icecream: what flavors?
 
This is the whole point of the arc with Starlight Glimmer, even - if everyone has a unique special talent, that doesn’t make the world dull, that makes the world even more lively!

But that logic makes sense, if everyone is X, then nobody is X because is not longer “special”, hell, they even adressed it early in the movie:  
Elasticgirl: everyone is special  
Flash: that is just another way to say nobody is.

It’s a good thing it’s something you’re NOT supposed to get. It’s from the villain, after all.

I’ve always disliked this logic from the Incredibles. If everyone’s a Super, then everyone will be a Super. There won’t be the little needs the current world has, people will be able to have so much more fun and conflict in life!
