As to spike and other males: Spike will not be receiving any edits, and I will not be editing erections onto the male populace of ponyville. The most you will see on a stallion is a basic ponut/ballsack or sheath (depending on angle, ofc).

I see your point. Still, the lineart looks too dark while the main colour is barely noticeable.  
I think it would’ve been wiser to keep the lineart colour the same (or close to the same) and make more of a difference with the coat colour. If you really think about it, too, colouring the labia a darker colour than the coat implies their skin and coat colours are the same, since real horses wouldn’t be so furry down there (but I suppose this is somewhat of a moot point since keeping the colour is mostly for aesthetic reasons).  
Also those ponuts look more like buttons on shirt.
