Some people draw things because they actively like those things, or because they are desensitized to them and don’t care.  
Everyone has different reasons for liking or disliking things, some rational, some irrational, both valid.  
Can we end this argument already? Nips likes some things but not other things, you like some things but not other things, doesn’t matter how or why, arguing over opinions and trying to persuade desensitization is pointless. :T

It’s more the pushing of what Nips’ proclivities (not wanting to draw scat while experimenting with drawing child rape/murder) as objectively more odd than the opposite while also claiming not to be judging that creates a disconnet with me. That’s why I asked.

There’s a big difference in-between finding something unsettling and making a moral judgement on the person who doesn’t find it unsettling. Or more precisely, the person who is aroused by it.
 
I think most people would agree that a small child being hanged and then beat to death then raped is the sort of thing it’s O.K. to find unsettling - even if you’re aroused by it.
 
I’ve got some fetishes that, while far, far tamer, are sort of along the same vein, and even I’m unsettled by the same thing I’m into.
 
But if you’re so far off the tumblr deep end that you find it offensive that I find child abuse-torture-murder-rape unsettling, and that I think it’s odd to not find that more unsettling than a basic part of child care, then I really can’t help you.

He probably shouldn’t be talking on nips’ behalf, but i agree with a good deal of what he’s saying. Nips said he didn’t want to draw scat or diaper fetish because he finds it gross and isn’t into it. Other people keep trying to defend their fetish and convince him that it isn’t gross, when he already stated his opinion on the matter. People just need to respect the fact that nips finds that stuff gross and deal with it.
