Hasbro: oh… sure, hey Larson
Larson: yes unzips nipple flaps
“We’re sorry you guys had to wait. You see, the mane six needed a well deserved rest after beating that big scary Tantabus. But don’t worry, they’ll be back just in time for Nightmare night! On the meantime, are you ready for the Friendship Games?”
With the way the show has started treating itself, you could’ve fooled me.
it’s a fun thread and I think it should stay that way, so to hell with all pettiness. no pun intended there.. :p
Thank you for not going any further with that this thread really doesn’t need any of that.
I guess. though, I’ve already pretty much detached myself from any biblical recordings as being that, supposedly, absolute Truth about everything.
won’t go into anymore details so we don’t derail this into a religion thread, we don’t need any of that nonsense.
Yeah I got that I was actually going to state in my last comment that at least the devil in the show wasn’t anywhere near as bad as the one in the bible and I’m not offended by it I just found it odd is all.
older than the season 5 part 1, or would that be too soon?
@Pagan
pretty sure their portrayal of the biblical writings, mainly to do with God and Lucifer, is way different from what most religions portray them as..
remember that scene in which Satan talks to God, or how Satan is supposedly a very nice guy and God is just a very chill guy about pretty much everything? That’s kinda what I mean by the whole portrayal being completely different from the very get go, they didn’t go with the traditional, Heaven Vs. Hell thing.
@ghostfacekiller39
I actually found the devil being gay weird since they seem to always be on the side of gay rights but then lumped the devil in with us wtf.
I love how the devil is gay, and that they have a devil just for Canada!
You speak the truth I love South Park I always found there humor spot on and it is relevant to the times like a funny current events class, I remember when they made the 9/11 episode I thought it would get tons of hate but they handled it really well.
Yeah, you have a point. That’s what I’ve always liked about South Park. Some people just don’t like crude humor, though. It also doesn’t rehash the same jokes over again and be in your face like, “I can be offensive, hurr” Looking at you, Seth Macfarlane.
To be fair, at least it banks on what it’s satirizing as a legitimate source of humor instead of just tossing random pop culture references into the mix just to pat its fanbase on the head.
I also find that they do a lot of research into what they satire and will portray it in a pretty fair way while still mocking it - which, again, is better than just tossing around references for the sake of tossing around references.
It’s a pretty good show that manages to have a great degree of intellect and lack of bias behind the satire, y’know?
But South Park isn’t supposed to be about amazing stories and continuity. It’s a satire. I would be surprised if they added more than just shock factor and crude humor.
Oh, you want to find out who Cartman’s father is? That’s too bad because we’re going to show a Terrance & Phillip episode instead and you’re going to have to wait another month to find out.
You’re in for a Looong hiatus, buddy.
I think it’s the episode where the parents are watching murder porn
Bloom and gloom was an apple bloom episode. Luna was only a supporting character
You know, for someone criticizing someone else for childish outbursts.
You sure do like crying around about there being a Luna episode and not an episode about your favorite pony.
I find Applejack boring, and Rairty alright.
Exactly.
Indeed. I mean, it’s only like four months…chicken feed compared to last time.
