Opens the tome of Brony history and turns to Ponibooru chapter

Back in the annals of history, Spawned at the very beginning of our community and continued to ride on the success through first great and bountiful Brony movement there was a refuge of love and tolerance amidst the ocean of haters, a place where Brony artists, Brony editors, Brony cartoonists and even Brony pornographers could go and share their works, that glorious place was was Ponibooru!
 
More than simply a website, it was an art gallery. More than a gallery it was a great forum for discussion. More than a forum it was a staging ground to go out into the internet prepared.
 
But for some of us, us precious few, for us it was home.
 
But amidst these great times, these great people, there were also dark times and dark people.
 
These dark people invaded our home. MY home!
 
Tyrantlestia and Molestia. “I only watch it for the plot” meme spammers. Subway censorship. “The great meme war to end all meme wars” and the subsequent “second great meme war”.
 
But in the mists of even the dark we created for ourselves, we had shining beacons of life, love and tolerance.
 
Bronies like MenLaughingWithFruitSalad, who in those dark times brought us respite by posting images of happy faces and healthy food. He brought us cheer, he brought us together.
 
For a time, all was well.
 
But eventually MenLaughingWithFruitSalad was corrupted by the very images he posted. His mind was twisted, perverted, broken. He posted more images of more men, all laughing and eating fruit from bowls. He posted more, he posted more and more, he wouldn’t stop, he couldn’t be stopped.
 
Our admin stepped in and blocked MenLaughingWithFruitSalad, a dire move that had to be taken and thought the end of it.  
However word got around and by the setting of the sun WomenLaughingWithFruitSalad account was created, then MenCryingWithFruitSalad and FruitSaladForever. Before long it was anarchy, a civil war that put brony against brony in a hail of fruit based memes, and noBrony knows what happened next.
 
NoBrony knows, or noBrony is willing to say.
 
When the dust cleared and the downvotes were quietened MenLaughingWithFruitSalad was gone, the meme was dead. The rebellion was over and we all returned to our usual artistic posting and commenting.
 
Some time later saw the end of that era. With a sad smile we saw our great home close. We journeyed long and hard, and many of the refugees were offered a wonderful new home. A place that welcomed us with open hooves, a new place that we have come to call our new home. Here we gathered those of us that survived, and joined in with the hundreds and then thousands of other bronies who congregated to share art and memes. That place has become as close to our hearts as Ponibooru was. That place is Derpibooru!

MenLaughingWithFruitSalad was a user on Ponibooru who’s usual activity would be posting stock photos of “men laughing with fruit salad” in the comment section for no reason. He was very active (much like Roboshi) and his images can be found a lot.
 
He was able to get away with it for so long (the mods weren’t as active as now) until he got banned. Then, as ED-SKaR has said, had a mini uprising.
 
The thing about this guy is that he doesn’t post it on every image but when he does post it, it’s generally light-hearted and quite funny so people have a laugh about it.
