Adagio: “Don’t you want to possess great power?”
Aria: “And we know how much you like that Flash guy. He’ll instantly become your slave with this type of magic.”
Sonata: “Think about it; magic, mindless slaves, and tacos everyday instead of just Tuesday! Tacos. Every. Day. Isn’t that great?”
Twilight: “No! Your wicked and want to hurt others! My friends and my love for reading and studying friendship is all I ever need!”
Adagio: “Uh…w-we also have lots of books to, about friendship…and stuff!”
Aria: “Yeah, ehh, accept becoming a Siren and we’ll give you the entire library full…about friendship and stuff.”
Sonata: “Yeah, yeah! We have, like, all sorts of friendly books. Even the cook books! Taco books!”
Twilight: “Do you possess any ancient tomes that prophesized the use of bonding the mental and physical connection with one another in order to restore and bring harmony to a 1000 year old entity that threatens the world once every year or so?”
Adagio: “….sure?”
Twilight: “Hay burgers, I’m in!”
And so, The Dazzlings, along with a new member, were successful in siphoning all the negative emotions of the entire Canterlot Schoolers and took over the landscape with an iron fist.
Rainbow Dash’s only regret that she never got to pull off that sweet solo guitar riff to prove how awesome she was during the Battle of the Bands.
Would it do anything? I mean, yes, probably in this instance, or they wouldn’t bother, but that depends on the magic and biology of sirens and the ritual’s compatibility with that world’s low background magic.
Yes, I think about this sort of thing far too much. It’s fun.
Twilight: Great! Give me the item you need to seduce everyone. I’ll use it to stop the two of you who still have pendants and save the day anyway! Joke’s on you, suckers!

It doesn’t brainwash her, does it? Then she could blast them with magic AND entrance them with singing at the same time, while slapping them with her wings and using her princess of friendship powers to banish them to the Friend Zone.
