Urgh, that sounds like a person I know in real life.

Yeah. The way I see is Trixie probably got a very rough childhood. Maybe she got abandoned by her parent. She hates that feeling. The persona of “The Great and Powerful Trixie” was self-defense mechanism created by her to counter and to show that she’s strong and doesn’t need anyone in her life but in reality, She’s alone, weak and need someone to love her.
