Background Pony #E5EC
This is probably one of the best shipping stories I’ve ever read. And I don’t even like Shipping stories.
What makes this one work is that, not only do both characters grow to care for each other, but their characters are explained in interesting ways without breaking established character. Trixie is narcissistic to the point of being terrified of what others would think of her, but she can be a good person if she’s shown how. Maud is possessive and maybe a tad obsessed, but act’s as Trixie’s anchor, and has traits that her monotone demeanor wouln’t usually suggest.
Whether or not the comic will follow canon is unclear, but that merely adds to the intigue.
Also, Pinkie being there is also a plus.

I agree with this but this can be mostly tl:dr’d to “It’s a good story since the characters are realistic shades of gray instead of japanese VN dolls”

“that this stupid pony we’ll see”

“we’ll” should be “will”.

Aside from that… Maud better make sure they make it home before she reads the poetry.
