After the cave-in he’s not seen again. But Sendak yells for Tirek to capture him and Tirek’s dad mentions he’d be escorting the unicorn back to Equestria personally. So apparently he’s alright.

I’ve got the comic read it a couple of times, and I have to ask: did they actually say in there what became of this unicorn? Right now I’m assuming that he died in the cave-in along Sendak.
 
Make that “along with Sendak.” Sigh, got to remember to make sure of the entry before I hit the post button.

To him, he probably sees it as a mere animal, even though the ponies are intelligent. So Sendak probably doesn’t consider it such.
 
Also, bad guys kidnapping is quite common actually in kid-friendly material.

why does he have cloven hooves though?  
i am actually glad it is just a unicorn. it would be a bit farfetched if it was an alicorn to begin with.
 
this comic was……. dunno really. it does not feel complete. it definitely has potential but it has not exploited it.
