Yes, I very much want to do a video based on this. While not a happy tale, I think it did a lot of things right.
Spoilers. But yeah… that felt really fitting as his last act of cruelty. Having read the comic, I’m not sure how much I like it.

He does something worse: he vanishes the Crystal Empire to spite her.
She probably lived and died thinking she was the last crystal pony.
That was posted before more of the comic came out and we learned more about Radiant. Nothing wrong with assuming the worse, didn’t want to be disappointed if it turned into another Blueblood fiasco.
That’s pretty unlikely. Villains like Diamond Tiara are pretty forward about their feelings and motives. Radiant comes off as… it’s hard to say, but Bridge to Terebethia (sp?) was the first thing to come to mind after seeing what she had to say to him. I’ll bet bits she dies and it pushes Sombra over the edge, but I hope I’m wrong. I want his road to villainy to be a little more interesting than that.
Then we shall mourn the Radiant that could have been. ;)
Either that or cursing her out if she turns out to be like Diamond Tiara later on.
No biggie, we have been mourning the other pony in this drawing since 2012.
