@MegaCloper
Yeah sure, you can go with that.
I prefer this being canon myself because I know the show isn’t going to do it so this would be the next, best (yet terrible) thing.
Having something terrible is still better than having nothing.
@Beau Skunky
At least that half aren’t EASILY pleased, instead of NEVER being pleased outside their headcanons. (Seriously, that fandom is like a legion of Disneymasters!)
@Starlight Storm
I did just read it. Frankly, it’s a terrible Anakin-Skywalker-all-over-again mess with a lame manufactured conflict. Having no story was pretty bad, but this isn’t much of an improvement.
@Millennial Dan
Not really. It’s misdirection and playing on the reader’s expectations.
The orphan thing and his amnesia turn out to be part of his mother’s evil plan.

To be fair, there are some who still enjoy the comics, regardless of recent controversial hit-or-miss issues, and it’s been said the comics are still selling well. So the entire fanbase isn’t as hive-minded regardless what so-called “popular opinion” may be.
In fact, I had a friend who said she actually prefers the comic over the show. She has nothing against the show, but feels it does to many “slice of life” stories, and prefers how the comic does more “adventure” ones then the show.
Food for thought

I know and pretty much read most of the comics….I just tend to ‘try’ and not comment, because it always boils down to ‘drama’ and people complaining. Yes, some comics have problems, but besides the Western comic {The villain was still fun though} I never really hated any of them or found anything worth getting riled over…much, not these levels though.
@Evowizard25
Where have you been those last months ? The consensus i gathered is that IDW is the spawn of Satan,Hitler and Bette Midler and that they cant do anything right (at least that’s what the fandom said and we all know popular wisdom is infallible)
The writers are damned if they do,damned if they dont with this fandom full of Annie Wilkes wannabe
Well, this seems like an interesting take on his back history. Honestly, while I have seen it before, this is actually a nice take on it. I mean, all villains start from somewhere.
sees the drama
Why can’t I have nice things, fandom! Seriously, this comic just started and there is absolutely nothing to hate. So what, he had a tough time fitting in and a couple of bullies. You know who else had that? Napoleon! {Napoleon wasn’t a villain, but he became Emperor and such.}
