I’ve always been curious about the Draconequi and Alicorns as races, so since a while back I’ve been doodling individuals of them just make out how members of their races could’ve been. Surprisingly, Draconequi have proven to be far easier for me to do than Alicorns. Here are some of the ones I’ve worked on, though I’m not really pleased with all of them. But then again, that’s why I’m posting this. To hopefully get feedback and share ideas. I’ve never really seen anyone bother to design members of the Draconequi race. And most remotely close..just gets the whole idea of a Draconequus wrong. If we go by the meaning of the word, Draconequus, and the description of Discord in the show, it basically adds up to “draconic chimera horse”..I’ve seen a lot get the horse part wrong. Discord has a cartoony horse head.
 
As to the individuals, I’ve come up with stories and names for some, but I’ll just toss up their names.
 
Ruina, unnamed, Tantrum, unnamed, Garra, Pinza, Zarn, unnamed, unnamed, Tiamat, unnamed, unnamed.
 
I prefer to name them (and alicorns) single word names. Either based on mythological deities or possibly latin words, or nouns of specific meaning. It plays along with how Discord, Celestia and Luna are named.
 
And before people ask. Only my interpretation of Discord’s mom is there. His dad is somewhere in the depths of my sketchbook. It’s obvious which is she.
