That’s true. Also, I don’t think any of their talent involve being a cop/sherriff.
fair enough
Not all of them. “The Showstoppers” and “CM Chronicles”, their plan is “let’s get our cutie marks by trying all these things!” whereas, “Flight to the Finish” and “The Stare Master” are more “By doing this good thing, we might get our cutie marks!” as a secondary goal. It gives them reason to get involved in an activity that they would not normally want to do. But even there’s there’s a degree of how much investment there: whereas the second thing out of their mouths in “Stare Master” is “we’ll get our CMs this way!”, in “Flight to the Finish” it is more an afterthought, and, personally, this is a much better approach to that type of setup since it doesn’t force the CM idea down the plot.
I’m hoping that’s how the CM aspect comes up in this episode; in that its far far secondary to the sense of justice. Unfortunately, my gut says it’ll be closer to the Stare Master approach, that they put equal weight in bringing justice and getting their CM.
Isn’t that exactly how every cutie mark episode happens though?
I think, however, it’s not so much they enter into the episode thinking “Let’s get our cutie marks” but it is an idea that becomes apparent when they start talking about catching this criminal and realize that if they can, they might get their CM, giving them motivation to behave as they do. That’s much less of a retread.
Well at least they are still going after a possible criminal in the deep south.
Of course they weren’t going to get their cutie marks, they never will, because that would mean advancing the characters.
Taking out the ambiguity about the CMC even possibly getting their CMs.
Just my speculation…
I think you just spoiled the episode…That is very likely to happen.
That would be an interesting twist.
Maybe the “criminal” who the CMC were after turns out to be an innocent pony.
“Don’t you mean ‘or’?”
“No.”
*Spin off…. that typo :(
Although a spink off CMC series with 11 minute episodes would be better.
easy now, mate.
we don’t even know that this exact episode will be dedicated to sweetie belle or the cmc in general, she could just be here as a single joke.
Nobody said there won’t be any side character episodes. There are about 20 more unknown episodes, so there’s a chance for anything.
They ALWAYS have about 3 episodes dedicated to them, even in Season 3, that only had 10 episodes available.
Because this is cutie mark season, not princess season.
