Some elitist SU pricks threw a drama shitstorm on tumblr in regards to the very idea of bronies entering their fandom, over typical hypocritical reasons. (porn, etc.) It basically drew allot of brony attention to their fandom, as well as outing them as a bunch of giantic assholes.

If you’re a normal person, that’s a perfectly convincing argument. If you’re the sort of self entitled “fan” who considers your fandom to be “above” other, lesser, fandoms then the notion of fan crossover is threatening as threatens your special snowflake status (somehow, I’ve never really tried to get into the mindset enough to comprehend HOW it does this).
 
This isn’t particularly unique, or new, see: Star Wars vs. Star Trek, pre-movie Lord of the Rings vs. “popular” fantasy, Nintendo Vs. Sega (to be fair, this was mostly actual 10-year-olds instead of people just acting that age), etc.

How about instead, make some positive crossover pics, like Steven riding Pinkie around? Won’t that mess with their minds…
