Do not worry, most cannot. Also, Mary Sue is about not meeting challenges. Even waking up and not going all out insane is a challenge for her. She needs a reset button to not go completely breakdown, cause her life is the worst shit ever, cause Wasteland. And yes, that reset button is an intercourse. Again, happens to normal people as well. Then again, why look up things when you can just spew nonsense, right?

And again BD is Mary Sue, the martyr one. Every chapter I culd split to few same parts: little conversation, than shooting part and crying part, over and over again.  
If ever Project Horizons will be published on fimfiction, it will get from me the biggest and fattest dislike that I have ever put.  
This story gave me the biggest butthert.  
Cuz script became more and more ridiculous with each chapter.  
Cuz main protagonist is a nagging whiny idiot.  
Cuz in the original raiders were just a loony bandits, and now they are almost a zombie.  
Cuz instead of relations with such an interesting character as Glory, BD is now bears fucking child from moron with capacious ass.  
Cuz this fic is just set of violence and puddles of tears without much plot.  
etc…etc…etc…

If I remember correctly, Somber mentioned her stats a few years back and she had like 8 or 9 in luck? Cannot really pin point the conversation now, but it would explain why she gets shot mostly in easy-to-heal places and survives things that are pretty darn nasty. Not to mention it kinda goes with her cutiemark anyway.

I see you do not know jack (har har) about Blackjack. So any kind of logical conversation is pointless. Cause otherwise you would know why she can play a cello, shoot well and survive what others would not survive.

She is only good at using the Cello because it has Octavia’s Soul in it. Her being a good shot is mostly due to STATS and the fact that she was a trained officer in her stable, its not unlikely she would be good at HtH or shooting given that background.
 
Plus the whole luck thing can be applied to just about every main character in existence, especially if they are in an action/fantasy genre story. Even her luck is sketchy IMO considering all the shit shes gone though.

I don’t need to write smth to see a good or a bad story.  
Like taster don’t have to a be a cook, like a coach don’t have to be a great player.  
BD is great shooter, great in close combat, suddenly good cello player, and even if she is not so smart the luck is always on her side, always.  
Mary Sue.
