As to this picture, on the one hand I love it. The composition is good, Flash’s evil-face is priceless and Sunset’s expression is just heartbreaking (nobody has pointed out there are rings in front of her? if they’re engagement rings then Flash’s reaction is low even for him, but if they’re promise rings I can kinda see where he’s coming from). On the other hand, I can’t unsee the mistake with Sunset’s right hand. Also, SUNNY-SUN! :( ;__; KILL BRAD KILL FLASH DIE DIE DIE

I think that while there are definitely people who legitimately hate the guy, he’s pretty much like Blueblood in that people simply love to hate him (and they even have the same voice actor).

I think were refering to how the “Mane 6” forgave her at the end of the first movie easily.
Which is probably why the sequel touched on how she still had to make amends for all the evil she did in the first.

funny according to tv tropes it was otherwise though not reliable sources though most ppl in EG were complaining she was forgiven too quickly

Yeah, it wasn’t until she kinda suffered in that movie, and redeemed herself that the fanbase forgave her.
I’ve only seen one person complain about how they changed her in the sequel.

I doubt it.
Besides it already kinda happened in “Rainbow Rocks,” considering what he said about her, but he (and the others) were under the evil influence of the sirens, and mistakingly thought she was trying to sabotage the Rainbooms.
Of course if people are going to hate Flash over that incident, they’d have to hate Octavia, Trixie, the CMC, and everyone else to. “I KNEW SHE WAS TROUBLE!“

Just remind yourself, “this is a fanart piece, it’s not canon.” Heck I’ve seen fanart of Sunset doing worse then this. (Back when she was a villain.) Heck she did worse then this in the first movie back when she was a villain.
It’s kinda funny how Sunset is easily-forgiven by the fanbase, (she ironically used to be just as hated as Flash) while other characters are not, just by existing.

I’m not a Flash Sentry fan either, but I don’t think he’s the root of all evil, or hate him either really.
This is what happens when Flash Sentry doesn’t wear headphones and get possessed by the Dazzlings. Also even though he was under their spell, I still liked him and I wanted his band to win the Battle of the Bands.
Never mind the fact that it is stated by Miss. Shimmer herself that she never really cared for Flash, and was just using him to improve her own popularity.
Come on, Flash isn’t fleshed out enough to be this villainous.
