You know, I’m curious how the got Gala tickets. Putting aside theoretical racial divisions and assuming Equestria is a perfect land of equality and non-discrimination, not just anyone can attend the Gala. Where they rich? Do they somehow know the princess or a noble pony personally? Are they adventurers of some kind?

Because I really love the Headcanon that Cranky was a dashing, tomb looting, Lich slaying adventurer in his day, but dosen’t fight anymore because he’s all tired and cynical.
