I’ve been saying this more or less from near the beginning. Not that it’s exactly the same but more that there are a ton of similarities between the two, though granted some of them might be just me personally seeing those parallels where they might not actually be. But I mean The Core (Boulder Dome), The Moon (BOMB 001), being pursued relentlessly out of the stable (or Tibbets Prison in the prisoner’s case), The Plague. I found that all pretty interesting, not to say i agree with every one of Somber’s choices. Still, pretty interesting.

Yup, there was a jump when it hit volume five - wouldn’t say it’s gone anime so much as it has gone Van Buren (Black Isle’s cancelled Fallout 3) as the core plot seems to have a lot of references to it’s arc.
