Supposedly, other doctors only focus on ponies, so the vet treats literally every other creature that requires medical attention.
Because ponies are racists.
the virus isn’t so much ‘immune’ to our vaccines, they still work as intended, problem is they only work on one strain of the virus at any given time, which mutates faster than we can manufacture vaccines. so doctors guessing which strain needs to be the priority this year is constantly becoming a bigger and bigger crapshot.
That’s only because Influenza has been gradually becoming immune to humans attempts to stop it. Remember the ending to War of the Worlds? It’s like that except we die. :D
