Description
King Longhorn looking sharp. Seems he has just acquired the ranch legally. Who will stop him if the law will not? (Probably AJ)

Or Fluttershying them.
Or, and hear me out, we could finally have the “heroes” solve the problem without beating/humiliating the antagonist of the day.
If this was an RPG, the conventional way of beating bandits is to destroy the crap out of them, make them beg for mercy, and then help yourself to their loot.
Until the next episode where they never mention it again.
Yep.
But they have to come up with something. Better than nothing, right?
I’m sorry, I think I got confused. When you talked about violence begetting violence, I thought you meant that Twilight shouldn’t try to stop the bulls.
I’m glad we’re on the same page.
Important tip in writing. Never radically change a character for the sake of a story in anything.
I get around. ;)
Yep.
Which is why her “moral reasoning” are BS pulled from the writers’ asses to induce a plot.
Yeah, Twilight should use her magic to do THAT to the bulls.
Oh, Silver-Quill! You’re on this website too! :D
Yes, so use magic to restrain them and have them placed in prison. They have violated the law. They should be held in confinement until a trial.
Not left to do as they please right in front of Twilight and company.
But real life is not as perfect as that either, unfortunately.
Not all perpetrators will go peacefully. There is a point where you have to assert your point, even if you have to use force. There is a reason why police shoot dangerous gunmen when they don’t yield. There own safety and the public’s safety take priority.
Hence the reason you use non-violent tactics. Like a simple levitation to stop their momentum.
Violence will only breed more violence.
A full scale invasion should be a story arc.
Equestria, previously thought untouchable and peaceful, is never the same.
We already saw that in Friends Forever #12. Key difference: they tried the magical solution, and it didn’t work. It’s more effect to show friendship succeed where magic failed than to try and remove the magical option.
Yet maybe Twilight will use her magic by comic’s end. In which case I hope she’ll admit her friends had a point.
@Background Pony #02D2
Why do people keep assuming that? I don’t recall any character saying that ponies are the only magical creatures out there.
Plus, they’ve proven to be a threat, magic or no. There are plenty of non-violent tactics to curb their aggression.
I just hope Twilight uses her magic. I also hope she doesn’t use her magic.
If this is a princess thing, and they all have to follow it, and everyone else in Equestria is way less powerful, then the place is easy pickings.
Really? Why?
It’s a miracle Equestria didn’t become a lightning rod for invasions…
But muh out of nowhere moral code!
