I also tried to make the hair resemble his, but I inverted the colors (So the darker is the fill and the lighter is the line) to match Chrysalis’ and it completely sucked out the resemblance.

Not all tears are angry marriage destroying tears though. Picture Shining Armor, holding his son/daughter alone having been told to get out by his wife. Shiney is a good stallion; he wouldn’t care about the little bug because it was his child by blood or anything like that, but rather because it was a lone and helpless child abandoned by it’s mother and he is the only thing in the world it has. Then the door opens and Cadance walks in, still in tears. She puts her hooves around him and hugs the duo, whispering “It’s not your fault and I forgive you” as she reassures him that everything will be alright.

This isn’t Shining’s fault though. It’s not the result of something her did, it’s the result of something done to him while he was under mind control. I don’t want to use the R-word, but I’m pretty sure that while Chrysalis had him, he was essentially powerless against her and she could use him as she saw fit.
