The hypocrisy, double standards, and lack of self-awareness coming from most people on both sides of this issue is frustrating. (Not unexpected, though.) Really, if someone makes a post about how feminists are awful people out to oppress men, that’s OK because everyone should know that it’s only referring to extremists, but if someone makes a post about how bronies are awful people out to take MLP from little girls, that’s horrible because everyone should know it’s referring to every single adult fan of the show.
 
I could go on and on about the self-serving venom being spewed blindly on both sides, but if there’s one thing I’ve learned about the internet, it’s that no one ever changes their minds in controversies like these.

Wow. This is what we’ve devolved into. We can’t let just ONE thing go in this fandom can we? Obviously not. It’s no wonder this fandom is looked down upon. We might as well be the next Sonic fandom for all we care and that’s a BAD thing. We can’t let anything go. We just have stew about something like this ALL THE FUCKING TIME. They’re giving a big middle finger to a fandom that practically wouldn’t exist without piracy. That didn’t hurt the show because it exists to sell toys and we weren’t its target audience anyway. The comics exist to sell comics and we are its target audience. It’s incredibly easy to find downloads for them. I never thought I’d want drama to affect the sales of an official product, but there are important things at stake here and a bigot like Anderson that has so much contempt for his customers shouldn’t be associated with an official product.
 
The only silver lining for me is that I’ve been waiting to buy any more IDW stuff until I knew Anderson was out. Now, I never will.
