Not without further explanation it’s not. Sunset wasn’t born in a vacuum, after all. Even in the comics, we don’t meet Sunset until her ambitions are more or less cemented, and her anti-social tendencies well practiced. What led up to that? Why weren’t her parents more involved? I don’t think they should just brush aside those questions so flippantly in Sunset’s case.

It’s the place where she made her first friends and I guess you could say found herself. It’s quite easy to write it in a way that it’s more her home than Equestria was.

Please, someone tell me exactly why Sunset still stays in this universe. She may have not been very close to her family, but she still has family back in her world. Is that really going to be played off as if she or her family don’t care?

If you’re going to tag specific background girls, at least take the general term: background human.
