Haha, I don’t think I caught that when I uploaded this. I’ll add the visual pun tag :D
I got the joke!
@Justy
You fools, what does it matter, WAFFLES!
(digs in to ones of both shapes)
>not using square plates
It’s like you enjoy wasting space.
Awesome point! But there’s not really room on the plates for it.
And I’ll also add that you can cut square waffles into square pieces, meanwhile most of the pieces of a circular waffle will have a curved edge.
That part really nails the case for me.
Square waffles can be also stacked next to each other without wasting space.
You see, the circular waffles can be rotated about any in which way, and the system will be identical. However, the square waffles will create a unique shape for every possible rotation, and will only be “ordered” if all of their rotations are aligned or on 90* increments of eachother.
Thus, because the square waffles posses a wider range of different possible arrangements, the square waffles have a larger potential entropy than the circular ones, and when they’re all aligned, the square waffles make a more ordered system, and is thus more appealing to a nitpicky OCD-type individual who wants everything nice and ordered.
So square waffles it is.
