So what you’re basically saying is  

I’m sorry, but given the fact Spike has shown attraction to mares* he would at most be bisexual not homosexual. You can’t have an attraction to the opposite gender and become gay, it doesn’t work like that.  
*Rarity, and Twilight when she had Rarity’s mane style.

It’s funny how some people can get grumpy at a silly image with Spike being gay, while I’ve seen SO many arguments in other images trying so desperately to ‘prove’ that Rarity is 100% canon a bisexual because she says ‘darling’ to her friends.  
Or just those who pretend that AJ was going to say she was a lesbian at the end of Simple Ways.
