I have one too. Also, I have a lot of stuff on VHS from when it was the only way to record stuff, and do you know how much time and trouble and expense it takes to convert to DVD?
So yeah, I don’t think everyone in the world threw their VCRs out the day DVD became a thing either. I still see DVD/VCR combos in stores, too. However, tapes lose a great deal of quality on the newer TVs, so the day when you’ll be forced to convert or say adios to your tapes is not as far off as it was. Le sigh.

Ah nothing like a DVD that was over 30 times larger, and held like 10% of the storage space, and forced you to manually take it out and flip it to watch the second half of the movie.
