a visit to the land of the griffins would be nice for the next season, since they teased it at the equestria games and all

Noted, but not ignored. I segregated the evil ones from the more or less neutral ones.
Specifically, Tirek is more of a Bucentaur for some reason. (Look it up)
If I added the commonly seen Pegasi, Unicorns, Alicorns, Philomena and her kind, and griffons, we are just left with Earth Ponies, Donkeys, Zebras, Buffalo and the common animals.
And then there’s the Changelings, the Sirens, the Diamond Dogs, the Breezies, Sunset Shimmer (she’s a special case), the last resident Draconequus that could end up on this list.
Do the Windigoes really count? Unless there’s something else they’re based on I thought the name came from the Wendigoes of native American myth, and they’re really only connected in name, don’t really have much else in common.
Also I’ve heard people liken changelings to a watered down version of the succubus.
Oh! A kraken if there’s any sea travel!

I agree on where they’re based from. Before their confirmed name, I considered them to be ice wraiths.
The second part is somewhat correct out of technicality, especially since succubi were originally undesirable in their true forms.

@Ereiam
They also missed Tirek, a centaur.
