I didn’t know about the Lyra and bon bon couple in fandom, but when I saw the movie I was shocked at that it looked like they were a couple. I looked it up, and found this lol. I think its awesome

Shipping overall creates a shitstorm. You can have the same scene with straight pairing like Discord and Fluttershy and you will also get 100+ comments. If i rememebr correctly, Cheerilee walking next to Big Mac in Equestria Girls short was also an adventure in the comments.

why do ppl act like having confirmed gay couple is somehow dirtier then straight there hetro couple all the time no one complains but have gay couple peck on lips,hold hands,say lovey stuff,say or imply their in relationship/love an a shitstorm arrives wtf

A. Hasbro didn’t confirm anything. Hasbro could easily come out saying that these two are just close friends. Nothing was set in stone.  
B. Other kids movies and shows had gay couples long before this one. (Ex. the show Arthur had a gay couple raising a child on one episode). So it’s hardly a “landmark”.

I’m sure some of the anti-Flashlight crowd is upset because they think Twilight should be with RD/Luna/their OC/etc., but most of the criticism is over the concern that such a cliche, lazy romantic subplot detracts from the MLP:FiM franchise.
