What you willfully ignore is that no one on “our side” wanted to exclude anyone from enjoying pony, and still don’t. What is a real thing is people like Ted or DD and their ilk that do think certain people shouldn’t be allowed to.
 
No one (sane or serious) is telling DD to stop drawing pony, and certainly to stop enjoying it. She and her lot, on the other hand, are. And still, I wouldn’t tell her to stop enjoying the show and drawing what she wants to draw. No one’s telling Ted he shouldn’t be able to enjoy the show, but we sure as hell question if someone that hates people that do should be writing official comics for it.

I just think it’s amusing that a thread focused on an image that says “ponies are for everyone” has been devoted mostly to anger, hate, and exclusion of those who think differently.
 
Within the first five posts someone was throwing a hissy fit about SJW’s, even though none had appeared or even been in the thread. That should give you a good idea about what the anti-SJ crowd is really all about. They just care about complaining, bullying, and eliminating anyone they disagree with from the fandom, while using SJW’s as an excuse.
 
There are plenty of people in this fandom I disagree with, but I would never deny them the right to enjoy pony or bring their talents to the community. Ironically, the anti-Cuteosphere crowd has become just as bad as she is; she wants to exclude certain groups from the fandom, and so do they. There is no practical difference, no matter what lazy excuses you try to make.

He wasn’t harassed on the internet. He lost his job because people complained to IDW, and IDW saw his actions as grounds for a job termination. It’s a children’s comic that he inserted an antibrony and antimen OC into. Parents found out as well and were just as mad. If you don’t see that as enough to get someone fired, I doubt you’ve held a job. It’s the same principal as someone working for McDonald’s and putting a ‘Supersize Me’ poster up for the customer’s to see. It insults a lot of the people buying the company’s product, and that guy would get fired. Same thing happened here, especially when Ted when out of his afterwards to act like a fool. If he just stated his opinion on his twitter, tumblr etc nothing would have happened, he brought it into the workplace and insulted a lot of IDW’s customers. A company like IDW wants to stay relatively politically neutral, so they don’t alienate potential customers, Ted messed that up. He made a stupid decision and got fired it happens to thousands of people everyday.

Also, harassed. Really now. I didn’t realize telling someone’s employer that their employee’s insulting their clients and it’s influencing his work counts as “harassment”.

One thing is critizice (like saying “Josh Haber really needs to improve, his writings seems a little lackluster”) and another is attacking the staff (with stuff like “HOW DARE THEY CHANGE MY WAIFU?! THEY GAVE HER WINGS, NOW I HATE HER! FUCK MEGHAN MCCARTHY!!!”).  
One thing is saying something in pro of a good change, and the other is just wanting to keep the Status Quo, something that has caused many shows to flop.

This is the war cry of everyone who rages against social justice (or whatever exaggerated stereotype thereof). They rage about how hateful and mean their victims are, but that doesn’t stop them from harassing them, lying about them, having hate rallies for days on end about their various overblown crimes, or holding them responsible for the actions of those who hate them. They’re just using social justice as an excuse to browbeat and bully others, exactly as the accuse people of doing; the only difference is that they tend to accuse their victims of being the same sort of hypocrites that they themselves are.

I’ve actually looked into what’s going on, and it’s a mess of misogyny, misinformation, and complete naivete about gaming journalism and what the real ethical issues there are - namely, big companies dishing out payola to get favorable reviews for the sort of AAA games the GamerGate people like.

I don’t like the so-called SJWs on tumblr, the sort of clueless and strident people who repeat blatant falsehoods about, say, bronies; or who use social justice as an excuse to browbeat and bully others; or who appropriate minority issues to boost their own standing. In fact, I hate when people do that. And I hate it when gamers do the same thing, or bronies repeat blatant falsehoods about social justice issues.
