I see it that way: this character looks at all the negative feedback the past gens’ cartoons of ‘MyLittlePony getting and it saddens him or her. Sorry, I don’t know much about ‘Littlest Pet shop’…  
Generation two of ‘My Little Pony’ (aaka ‘G2’) also has comics, books, and the merchandise. So it’s not only the video game for pc.

The excuse “it’s for little girls” doesn’t hold up when it is utter garbage. Yes G1,2,3 and parts of 3.5 were good and others decent but taking a critical look at it can reveal just how horrible, even toxic some parts are and that even goes for g4 as well.

Gen 1 > gen 3 < gen 4

Really? G1, G2, G3, and G3.5 (yes really) are actually good generations. And for Celestia’s sake its for little girlz

She doesn’t hate Gens 1 or 2, she feels indifferent about them. She’s not really interested in them, but has no issues with them.
 
It’s not until we hit Gen 3 and 3.5 where things take a turn for the worse. She/I’ve seen the one movie that came out for G3.5, and while it is not unwatchable, it has a lot of cringe and is far too diabetic when compared to either G1 of G4. From what I gather, base G3 is similar to 3.5, just with more classic designs.
 
Pretty much everyone agrees that Newborn Cuties is terrible because well, it is terrible.
 
She likes G4 because it has genuine appeal to both genders which haven’t been present until G4.
 
G1 and G2 are not bad (neither is G3/3.5, it’s just not targeted at us, though Gen 1 is better), but Gen 4 is still the best we’ve had so far.

This is so stupid, why does everyone hate past gens?

Not to mention that,from what i heard, G1 with Megan wasnt that bad.It’s 80 kind of cheesy but somehow a classic anyways

Actually, I like how you mimicked the style progression from G1 to G4. Especially finding animation art for G2, since that generation never had an actual show.
 
One of the things that annoys me about the “previous generation hate” is that folks don’t take the time to really see how the MLP style has evolved. The G4 look didn’t come out of nowhere. It owes a LOT to the previous generations, even the freaky ones like G3.5 and [shudder] Newborn Cuties.
