Welllll Lego Lord of the Rings finally got announced yesterday, which is the game I’m working on! Didn’t want to upload this beforehand in case anyone put two and two together and accused me of breaking my NDA or something. xD Anyway, drew this a couple of months ago and did a batch of prints for MCM, which sold out in about three hours! <3 Thanks to anyone who bought one.

Since working on LEGO LOTR I’ve become such a Tolkein fangirl, it’s ridiculous. I’ve gone from going ‘eh, bits of the movies are cool’ to watching all the special editions and now trying to devour every bit of literature or mythology I can get my hands on. <3 Brilliant, brilliant books and so glad to be working on this project. I celebrate this fact, like all facts, with ponies.

Incidentally, this is the second time I have drawn Sean Bean as a My Little Pony. This, clearly, is not enough.

Oh, and as usual, I put thought into the cutie marks. Aragorn, Gimli and Legolas’ are all obvious. Sam’s is gardening. Merry and Pippin are yet to get theirs but they’ll have the horse of Rohan and the tree of Gondor respectively. Gandalf’s is the Secret Fire. Boromir’s is Gondor, though I should change it to the horn really I suppose. Frodo doesn’t have his yet but it would become the ring, I imagine. Suggestions/corrections are welcome.
