That’s funny, because whenever I look at the ingredients of things with gelatin in them, it’s pork or beef.

A basic principle of writing (and roleplaying, for that matter) is that author (or player) knowledge != character knowledge. If Anon THOUGHT that white glue was made from gelatin, the conflict would still exist, whether or not it’s actually true.
Ironically enough, however, gumdrops are often made from gelatin (though not always).

Wood glue is made from Polyvinyl Acetate and a resin emulsion.
Gelatin comes for more then just horses.
It comes from skin, bones, and connective tissues of animals.
