Going off Achonix’s point fascism isn’t really about corporations ruling individuals, as all are below the state and powerful economic interests are potential threat to the all encompassing power of the state which is assumption of fascism. For a historical example look at how Albert Speer was able to completely restructure the German arms industry to suit the needs of the state. The belief in an inherent link between fascism and business interests came form socialist arguments in the late 30’s explaining both how German militarism before WWI and fascism of it’s day were both false fronts of the ruling class designed to dived the working class. Later historical research has largely rejected these claims.

Just one tiny correction. Corporatism isn’t rule by “corporations” as most understand the term today, but the organisation of society by major interest groups.

Escapee from Alcatraz
Well, if a being of chaos that can be literally anything that he wants chooses to wear a fedora, have a neckbeard, and be fat, then obviously it must be the way of the future.

In this context yes, because it’s a parody, but kyriarchy refers to the intersecting sets of social oppression, which may or may not translate to actual political oppression. It’s basically a way of resolving the issue of “who’s more oppressed, white het women, black het men, or white gay men?” The answer is there is no answer – you just point at kyriarchy and say “all of them”.

Fascism is statist and corporatist – meaning that it glorifies the rule of the political leadership over the people, and it promotes the power of corporations over the power of the individual – but a kyriarchy doesn’t have to be fascist, and in fact most are not, except in the minds of people who like to use “fascism” as an insult without understanding what it means.

Calling someone a “kyriarchist” is nonsensical, which is probably why Fury Belle is doing it in this parody; the idea behind kyriarchy is that it’s multiple axes of oppression, so almost nobody actually gets to be on the top of it. No one is actually a kyriarchist; kyriarchy just happens.
Background Pony #2D4C
Shouldn’t that book read “Celestia Is Bollox” or perhaps “Faust Is Bollox”?

And at least Fury Belle knows how to use “literally”.

Kyriarchy (“rule by a lord”) is a social system or set of connecting social systems built around domination, oppression, and submission.

The term was coined by feminist Elisabeth Schussley Fiorenza in 1992.
